Arts, Lower School
In Art, students will be able to:
- Organize and track many pieces of an individual project.
- Become more familiar withself-expression through a variety of materials and processes.
- Understand basics of video editing and animation on a computer.

In Music, students will be able to:
- Recognize, read, and write note values in bothduple and triple meter (2/4, 4/4, 3/4, & 6/8).
- Sing a variety of American folk songs in two and three part harmony, and sing partner songs and rounds.
- Learn to play the soprano recorder and baritone ukelele withproper technique, and develop ensemble skills on Orff instruments (xylophones and percussion).
- Improvise, compose, and notate songs for the recorder.
- Perform songs and folk dances related to California history and the Gold Rush era, and American play party songs and dances.
